You'll provide hands-on care, emotional support, and community engagement while promoting dignity and respect.As a DSP, your compassion and dedication will create meaningful connections with those you support while also empowering them to engage with their community. You will also share our passion for delivering outstanding and compassionate care.DSPs are the foundation of CSI's services in the Portland area.What you will do as a DSP:Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, recreational activities, and other outings.Being a problem solver is a key part of your role, as you navigate challenges with grace and integrity.Provide person-centered services, supports and advocacy for individuals in positive and life-enriching environments.Each shift you work, presents new opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those you serve.Implementing behavior support plans, teaching coping strategies and promoting positive social interactions.DSPs are responsible for protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of each individual in their care, by ensuring a supportive, safe and inclusive living environment.Maintaining accurate records of services provided, communicating with supervisors and other team members, and being an active participant in team meetings.Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures governing the provision of services to individuals with disabilities.Community Services, Inc. strives to create communities where everyone belongs and is valued.
