DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL DSP Part time (Babylon, NY) - Life's WORC : Job Details

This shift is 16 hrs per week (Saturday And Sunday 8AM - 4PM)The pay rate range for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on years of prior experience with NYS OPWDD programs Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism
• Ability to support people with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, showering and feeding
• Ability to lift an adult using a two person lift and adaptive equipment
• Successfully complete the medication administration (AMAP) course and annual recertification
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to learn how to document services electronically
• Valid Driver's License required

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide ongoing oversight to people living in the residence
• Implement Person Centered Residential Habilitation Plans
• Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the individual personalized program plan
• Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work beyond the normal shift
• Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices
