Job DescriptionJob Summary
Perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Evaluate, write, and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports, making recommendations based on findings. Execute data science and statistical experiments to solve problems and impact healthcare domains.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Lead health plan strategic analysis and planning, coordinating across business units.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Set departmental priorities aligned with operational plans, budgets, and regulations. Conduct deep dive analyses, provide insights, and collaborate to optimize revenue.
- Identify Medicaid/Medicare/Marketplace growth opportunities, develop analytical frameworks, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Design Payment Integrity campaigns, evaluate performance, and recommend improvements.
- Present complex data clearly to diverse audiences and manage analytical projects.
- Identify data solutions and technology opportunities, referring to appropriate teams for implementation.
- Apply statistical and computational methods to derive insights and optimize healthcare quality and costs.
- Develop scalable, automated data analysis processes and models.
- Create algorithms and models for big data analysis, data cleaning, and validation.
- Explore large, multidimensional datasets for feature selection and analysis.
- Execute methodical data science experiments to address healthcare challenges.
- Analyze data for trends, interpret findings with clear objectives, and utilize industry tools and techniques.
- Use tools like Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, Apache Superset, and relevant Python packages.
- Implement Python-based population predictions and outlier detection for patient and provider activities.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years leading healthcare analytics; 7+ years preferred in healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, Apache Superset, and healthcare data science packages. Familiarity with relational databases and SDLC. Critical thinking skills for unstructured problems.

Pay Range: $129,504 - $303,040 / year. Compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skills.
