Salary Range: $56,194.69 - $70,243.36 Position Title: Digital Strategist FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Marketing EEO Code: Professionals Reports To: VP Marketing Grade: 10 Summary: This position is key to the creation and execution of our digital marketing experience with emphasis placed on member engagement and brand positioning. Responsibility for development and maintenance of HFCUVT.com website, email communication/marketing and digital advertising to drive acquisition and retention of membership. This position will maintain our member data and is responsible for thoroughly understanding and reporting on marketing performance analytics and market demographics. This position will also act as strategic marketing support to other business lines in development of the annual growth and strategy planning. Essential Functions:
  • Support member information data and the Credit Union's MCIF. Create and monitor reports to better understand member behavior and product penetration. Assists in the analysis of member data and uses it to make recommendations to drive growth, create products and better member experiences.
  • Leverage data to develop targeting for marketing campaigns, including accessing and formatting internal data and identifying external data partners to facilitate a deeper understanding of target audiences. Provide guidance on targeting capabilities throughout the development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Build and deploy individual emails and email campaigns to support marketing efforts, enlisting best-practices for optimizing deliverability, open rates, and click-through-rates. Develop and maintain reporting on email marketing efforts.
  • Maintain Google My Business pages for each of our branches. Work with Creative and Content Strategists to gather and leverage Google reviews.
  • Ensure HFCUVT.com is aligned with marketing strategy and make recommendations and changes to ensure performance excellence to drive growth targets. This may include but is not limited to creating landing pages, testing for optimization of website performance, user experience testing, etc. Serve as vendor liaison with website vendor to ensure HFCUVT.com is programmed according to specification. Work with AVP Content Strategist and AVP Creative Strategist to ensure that content and graphics are up-to-date, brand-consistent, and accurate to achieve growth targets.
  • Support vendor relationships. This includes evaluating and recommending vendors, ensuring alignment with marketing strategy, maximizing vendor value through contract negotiations, and monitoring vendor results and accountability. Vendors include but are not limited to digital marketing partner, SEO partner, and website developer. Work with Content Strategist to ensure all content is optimized for digital channels.
  • Work with the VP Marketing to assist in the development, implementation, and analysis of marketing promotions including establishing budgets, and analyzing ROI.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating annual and special events or seminars.
  • Build and maintain monthly statistics for presentation in related marketing reports for Senior Management and/or Board of Directors as required.
  • Ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Perform miscellaneous requests, respond to email, and phone inquiries, file, fax, and mail information.
  • Assist other credit union departments and staff as needed.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic or web design, business or equivalent experience required. Three to five years' experience in related role required. Experience:
  • Experience managing various online marketing platforms, such as websites, social media, blogs, email, newsletters, and digital advertising.
  • Data management experience, including data analysis and distilling data into reports, recommendations, and results.
  • Experience managing vendors preferred but not required.
Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and other Adobe design software programs required.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Comfortable public speaking and presentation skills and ability to work with members face to face, as well as written interactions.
  • Ability to handle all information/documents in a confidential and secure manner.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize the workday efficiently while maintaining a consistent level of high-quality work.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, self-motivated and able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and monitor compliance functions and responsibilities assigned within a credit union and the ability to stay current in the changing environment of compliance.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare organized and well written documents. Excellent phone skills/etiquette.
Physical Requirements: This position requires sitting for extended periods of time and working primarily at a workstation or desk in an open office environment. Daily tasks include extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion, as well as extensive use of the phone. Stretching breaks are recommended to avoid injury. Work Environment: Professional banking environment.
