Digital Integration & Industry 4.0 Lead

The Digital Integration & Industry 4.0 Lead will support Mowi's digital infrastructure and driving the rollout of Industry 4.0 initiatives across U.S. operations. This role involves leading IT systems integration and digital transformation efforts while collaborating with technical and business teams to align solutions with business needs. You will play a key role in executing Mowi's digital strategy, Mowi 4.0, fostering innovation and advancing smart manufacturing across production plants and supply chain operations, with the opportunity to influence the company's long-term digital roadmap.

  • The role requires In-Office presence at one of the following corporate sites: Arlington, TX; Miami, FL; or Belfast, ME.

Responsibilities

Application Landscape & Technology Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to leverage new IT technologies for both operational and strategic benefits.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to design and plan the introduction of new technologies or enhancements to existing systems.

Industry 4.0 Initiatives

  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, and robotics into manufacturing and support processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain open communication across all management levels and functional areas within the U.S. organization.
  • Manage relationships with IT suppliers, including hardware and software vendors.
  • Coordinate customer-facing integrations, such as EDI connections with external partners.

System Integrations

  • Design and implement integration strategies for local systems and applications, working closely with global IT teams.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and updates.
  • Provide training and support to staff on integration-related topics.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize existing applications or implement new solutions.
  • Align proposed improvements with business stakeholders and oversee rollout plans.
  • Lead or participate in local and global improvement projects.
  • Apply technical skills directly while coordinating with external technicians and internal teams.

Application Support

  • Ensure local IT teams are trained to provide effective first-line support within the applications landscape.
  • Serve as second-line support for business-critical applications, ensuring timely issue resolution aligned with business needs.

Team Commitment

  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in smart manufacturing.

Qualifications and Skills

Work Experience

  • Proven experience with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, or Waterfall.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining at least one enterprise system, preferably ERP, but also MES, EDI, TMS, or WMS.
  • Proficiency with integration platforms and tools such as MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud, or Boomi.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, web services, and data formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
  • Experience working with relational databases (RDBMS).

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with IT operations on a manufacturing shop floor, including devices like industrial scales, scanners, and printers.
  • Experience with MSSQL databases.
  • Programming knowledge in C#, VBA, PHP, or Python is a plus.

Language Capabilities

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
