JOB SUMMARY

The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Marketing & Communications team seeks a Digital Content Specialist to implement the strategy and execution of our digital content channels, including social media, website, email, video, podcast and online listings, for both brands.

We are seeking a passionate storyteller who combines excellent writing skills with an eye for visuals who will partner closely with the Director of Marketing to develop campaigns and stories that bring multiple brands to life for multiple audiences.

The position is hybrid, with in-person offices located in Allentown, Pa., and requires some travel around the Pennsylvania and NJ region.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Plan and produce short- and long-form written, video, photographic and audio content for goodshepherdrehab.org, pennrehab.org and associated social media channels aligning with each organization's individual missions, visions, core values and strategic plans.
  • Enhance online engagement — monitoring comments and engagement, conversing with our followers on social media, moderating discussions and managing audience development initiatives, such as social live streams.
  • Write compelling copy for a variety of sections of the website, including programs and services, careers, technology, news posts and more.
  • Manage content calendar for the department and our colleagues in Advancement, working closely with others to gather needed content and information.

VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Create and manage video and photography content for use in multiple digital formats to support Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and GSPP's missions and strategic initiatives.
  • Create engaging and entertaining short-format videos that amplify and strengthen strategic brand messages.

EMAIL

  • Assist Marketing & Communications Specialist with the content and editing of external emails to various stakeholders and audiences.
  • Manage calendar of content/production for the emails and working closely to gather needed content and information.

EVENTS

  • Attend and cover key events in the life of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and GSPP or coordinate coverage with colleagues; some weekend and night work is required.

REPUTATION MANAGEMENT

  • Manage online reputation through tools and resources to ensure Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and GSPP online listings (i.e., Google, Yelp) are accurate, up-to-date and enhanced for SEO and LLM / AI overview purposes.
  • Respond to comments and route service-recovery opportunities through proper internal channels.
  • Generate fresh, localized content to support online listings.

METRICS

  • Collect, analyze, summarize and communicate results with stakeholders.
  • Use data and insights to inform digital content strategies.
  • Stay abreast of key trends and best practices to ensure our efforts are continually optimized.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a relevant field.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of experience writing in print or digital news media, including content optimization for SEO and accessibility.
  • Experience with CMS and/or CRM systems; WordPress experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics).
  • Knowledge of Adobe, Canva and/or other design solutions.
