Job Type Full-time Description The Registered Dietitian (RD) plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional well-being and overall health of residents in our senior living facility. This position ensures that residents receive meals that meet their individual dietary needs, medical conditions, and preferences, while complying with federal, state, and local regulations. The RD also oversees the implementation and maintenance of dietary systems including recipes, menus, and resident-specific meal selection. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the nutritional needs of residents and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and document residents' progress toward nutritional goals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, dietary staff, and caregivers to implement appropriate nutrition interventions.
- Provide guidance on therapeutic diets including diabetic, renal, cardiac, and texture-modified diets.
- Review and approve menus for nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance.
- Onboard and maintain dietary recipes and menus within the facility's food service system.
- Print and distribute individualized resident menus for dietary staff in both the kitchen and dining room.
- Conduct quarterly nutrition assessments and annual reviews, or more frequently as needed.
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (CMS, DOH, local health department, etc.).
- Educate residents, families, and staff on dietary guidelines, meal planning, and special diets.
- Conduct in-service training for dietary staff on topics such as food safety, nutrition, and specialized diets.
- Support infection control, sanitation, and food handling best practices in the kitchen/dining areas.

- 1 yr min experience in geriatric setting
- Experience with Point Click Care preferred but not required
- Knowledge of assessments, care planning, MDS etc.
- Possess knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulatory statutes and guidelines pertaining to healthcare in the skilled nursing setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
