Diesel Mechanic - Automotive - TopView Group : Job Details

Location: Ridgewood, NY 11385: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting workTopView Sightseeing is now searching for a motivated individual who is serious about safety to join our team as an entry-level motorcoach mechanic. Candidates with prior experience in diesel or fleet repair are preferred.Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Familiar with industry-standard tools and procedures for basic diagnostics and repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair based on standardized procedures.
• Inspect equipment in detail for defects, and damage potential component failure areas.
• Follow protocol and create an action plan to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety guidelines in compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, and state and federal DOT standards.
• Log and input all work, inspections, and other maintenance data.
• Assist coworkers as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Employee Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
• Background in automotive/truck & bus industry maintenance
• Experience with industry-standard tools and equipment
• ASE certification, class B CDL, EPA 608 certification desired
• Basic computer skills
• Clear communication skills
• Desire to learn and adapt to new situations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Employees will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including employment references.
