  • Maintain, build, and upgrade dies, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
  • Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
  • Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making in these areas:
  • Tooling troubleshooting
  • Diagnosis of problem and courses of action
  • Tool room repair and maintenance work
  • Tool Room machining practices
  • Program timing, meeting deadlines
    • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
    • Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments.
    • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
    • Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
    • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
    • Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
    • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
    This full-time role is a part of our Tool & Die Department and reports to the Manufacturing ManagerRequired Skills & Abilities:
    • Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
    • Ability to run all tool room and precision equipment efficiently.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    Education and/or Experience:
    • High school Diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Journeyman Tool & Die preferred.
