Join our team as a Dialysis Practical Nurse!
In this role, you will play a vital part in patient care and operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.
- Assisting with billing log preparation and updates as needed.
- Performing essential duties to meet patient care or operational needs within the clinic.
- Obtaining blood samples for laboratory analysis per physician orders.
- Completing and documenting monthly reviews of patient medication profiles.
- Complying with applicable health care professional practice acts.
- Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and adhering to company policies and state and federal laws.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in patient records regarding treatments and communications with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
- Reporting significant changes in patient conditions to the Charge Nurse.
- Identifying and reporting machine issues to Biomedical Technician and Administrator.
- Participating in required staff meetings and attending in-service and continuing education programs.
- Assisting with staff training when requested.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- A current LVN/LPN license in the applicable state, maintained in good standing.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- Previous dialysis experience is preferred.
- Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency within 8 weeks of hire.
- Proficient knowledge of the English language for effective communication.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing time and tasks.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
- Compliance with any state-specific practice requirements.
