QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree from accredited college/universityMinimum of five(5) years teaching experience, with at least three(3) years in the area of Special EducationClinical testing experienceTexas Professional Educational Diagnostician Certificate, or Licensed Specialist in School PsychologyValid Texas Teacher's CertificateMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Responsible for educational assessment to identify child's general level of ability, the intactness of essential learning process, the level of achievement in subject areas, and specific areas of difficulty identified with attention to the child's unique techniques in working through a taskOrganize data collected by appraisal process into a written assessment identifying the areas of strengths and deficitsResponsible for reporting to teachers recommendations derived from appraisal and providing consultation and assistance in the implementation of recommendationsAssist as a member of the Admissions, Review and Dismissal Committee in the appropriate educational placement of the student for special education servicesTERM OF SERVICE:187 daysSALARY:Commensurate with experience APPLICATION DEADLINE:Open until filled
