DescriptionDevSecOps EngineerDepartment: Platform Supervisor: Vice President of Engineering and Technology Job Summary GeoComm is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with expertise in platform engineering to lead and enhance the security, scalability, and performance of our cloud-native SaaS solutions. This role is responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps process, ensuring software systems' development, implementation, and maintenance. The position requires deep and broad technical knowledge and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to build, test, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, plan, and document environments for proprietary applications. Essential Job Duties 1. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify critical areas for implementation in the development process. 2. Design, test, and implement software development practices and standards to improve the organization's posture. 3. Automate deployment pipelines, data protection, and management systems. 4. Continuously monitor applications and infrastructure to identify potential issues and coordinate remediation efforts. 5. Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detecting, preventing, and analyzing issues. 6. Participate in incident response and analysis of events. 7. Conduct regular assessments, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to standards. 8. Provide training and awareness to development and operations teams on best practices and threat mitigation. 9. Document and communicate procedures and policies and how they align with the company's business processes. 10. Stay abreast of new technologies and integrate them into the architecture design where applicable. 11. Serve as team staff lead with functions such as performing one-on-ones and performance evaluations in collaboration with their direct supervisor. Essential Universal Job Duties

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in BCIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Related Experience: Three years of experience in DevSecOps or a related field.
- Skills and experience with CI/CD, Linux, Containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS, Ansible, SAST/SCA software, and Git/Version Control Software.
- Efficient written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to various audiences, including software development teams, technical support, end-users, management, etc.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to identify, analyze, and efficiently solve complex problems.
Desirable Training and Experience:
- Working knowledge of Application Life Cycle management tools.
- Additional related certifications
