About the role:
As a DEVSECOPS Engineer you will develop parallel data-intensive systems using Big Data technologies while working with the full open source Hadoop stack from cluster management to data repositories, analytics software, and schedulers. Your role involves working in on-premises or public cloud environments to build scalable systems while determining the appropriate database given data and analytics needs.You will work with file structures such as HDFS, relational databases including NewSQL, non-relational NoSQL databases including in-memory databases, and optimize the distribution of data across nodes and the performance of NoSQL repositories. You'll identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate scaling benchmarks to ensure optimal system performance.
This role is contingent on contract award.
What we are looking for:Associate: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience or Master's degree. Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative under supervision. Develops solutions to technical problems of limited to moderate scope following established procedures.Standard: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD. Works independently providing technical solutions to complex problems with considerable latitude in approaches.Senior: Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience. Recognized authority providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems and leading advanced development efforts.Experience with Big Data technologies, Hadoop stack, cluster management, HDFS, NoSQL databases, NewSQL, in-memory databases, data distribution optimization, performance tuning, and scaling benchmarks in on-premises and cloud environments.
