DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance - Linchpin Software : Job Details

Linchpin Software, an innovative small business, is seeking a DevOps professional who understands the critical intersection between cloud infrastructure and software development. You will ensure that cloud, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines empower development teams to ship software smoothly, efficiently, and reliably. Our mission is to support thousands of users by building systems that scale, and your technical expertise will directly contribute to those efforts. Role Focus: 1) Be a champion for software development teams, ensuring DevOps services meet their needs and enhance productivity.2) Design, construct, and deliver cloud-based engineering solutions that support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.3) Collaborate with development teams to refine and improve system architecture and workflows. Technical Areas of Growth: 1) Amazon Web Services (AWS)2) Kubernetes3) DevOps pipelines, continuous integration, and Shift left security Desired Experience: 1) Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible) to automate and optimize deployments2) Experience working in software development environments (Git, Merge Requests, Peer Reviews, Testing)3) Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or Google Cloud equivalents accepted)4) Automation experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like terraform, ansible, cloudformation, or Azure resource manager5) A mindset for improving development workflows and providing solutions to common development pain points6) Customer service experience working with teams to drive through challenging integration problems to a common and reusable solution. Location: Work is based in the Washington, DC and requires 2 days a week on site while the rest can be worked remotely.
