DevOps Engineer/Reliability Engineer - LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) : Job Details

Job Description

• Lead, deliver, and monitor key improvements to the current systems and infrastructure.
• Drive improvements and upgrades from conception through implementation.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Provide advanced support to the existing environment.
• Proactively ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build and testing activities.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Work with issue/problem management systems to meet SLA requirements.
• Escalate risks and issues; provide status reports to management.
• Document manual and automated processes appropriately.
• Understand complex environments, identify problem areas, and implement solutions.
• Participate in out-of-hours/weekend on-call rotations.
• Perform occasional weekend work for patching, upgrades, or VM migrations.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux environments.
• Experience with Automation, CI/CD, Jenkins, VMWare, Ansible, Git, RedHat Enterprise Linux.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python.
• Experience with monitoring systems like Nagios, Big Panda, Datadog.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
• Awareness of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, & Windows ecosystems is a plus.
