Job Description :
The Development Coordinator for the School of Law manages projects, research, and administrative needs for the effective and efficient running of the entire fundraising team. This individual will be responsible for projects that support fundraising activity with alumni, friends, corporate entities, and philanthropic foundations. A key component of this role is alumni/donor relations, cultivation, stewardship, and impact reports.In addition, this position will be expected to regularly conduct research projects (utilizing internal and external tools), create high-level donor proposals with guidance from development officers, and act as an internal liaison with faculty, staff, administrators, and senior leadership. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring these activities meet compliance standards for university policies, UO Brand Standards, UO Foundation confidentiality and data procedures, and budget management. This position also will lead regular efforts for communicating with external stakeholders (e.g., thank you notes, gift acknowledgment, etc.), collaborate with School of Law Communications team on mailers and other development-related communications projects, draft correspondence to donors, contact key stakeholders, and organize multi-level engagement efforts for donors and prospective donors.Minimum Requirements Two years of experience in public relations, communications, or related work. One year of this experience must have included the development and implementation of fund-raising or donor-cultivation events; ANDA Bachelor's degree or three more years of relevant experience.Professional Competencies Ability to prioritize, track required functions, manage competing priorities and a varied task load, and work independently and with minimal supervision.High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and use good judgment when working with donors, alumni, and university personnel.Ability to conduct high-level research and analysis, proficiency in data management.High level of skill using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams or similar software as well as using database applications (e.g., Evergreen).Strong public relations and project management skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a higher education setting.Two years' experience in a development or donor relations office setting.Experience with donor database or similar CRM databases.Experience working with budget management, volunteer coordination, and event planning.Project management experience.To Apply Click the APPLY button to review the full job description and follow the application process.
