Client in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an Non-Profit Development Associate to work onsite in hybrid schedule

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CARemote or In Office: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) must be flexible with schedule to work fundraising eventsHours: M-F 9:00am-5:00pmParking Details: parking is providedJob Title: Development AssociatePay: $28-$33/hrDuration: 3 month assignment through October (possibility for extension and conversion to permanent position)

Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our client's fundraising and philanthropy team. This role is essential to driving fundraising efforts, managing donor databases, coordinating events, and engaging with the community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nonprofit work, highly organized, and skilled in relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:

Events & Fundraising-Plan and execute annual fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals.-Collaborate with the Development Team to secure corporate and community sponsorships.-Manage RSVP lists with precision and ensure accurate donor data entry.-Coordinate event logistics including planning, implementation, follow-up, and acknowledgments.-Oversee community engagement opportunities and related events.-Build and maintain vendor relationships, including scope of work, bidding, negotiations, and payments.

Database Management-Generate fundraising performance reports from the donor database.-Maintain prospect pipelines and reporting for Development and other departments.-Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.-Process gifts and produce acknowledgments.-Input donations, pledges, and gifts-in-kind into the CRM system.

Administrative Support-Track, report, and recognize in-kind donations in a timely manner.-Produce mailing labels and manage mailings from list creation to distribution.-Generate reports for board meetings and donor tracking.-Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities.-Assist with all Development Department initiatives including annual fund, events, and legacy gifts.

Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in business, communications, public policy, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.-2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.-Proven success in coordinating large-scale community events.-Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record required.-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.-Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.-High ethical and professional standards.-Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.-Experience working with diverse individuals and groups.
