Developer - Akkodis : Job Details

Akkodis is seeking an Developer for a Contract job with a client in Milwaukee, WI. This role is open to remote candidates with strong hands-on experience in GE Proficy. The ideal candidate will have experience in MES systems, particularly with GE Proficy, and will serve as a highly technical leader, contributing both strategically and hands-on to MES deployments and enhancements. Rate Range: $55/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Developer job responsibilities include:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of GE Proficy MES applications, including OPC interfaces, SQL databases, and scripting.
• Provide day-to-day development, enhancement, and support of GE Proficy Manufacturing Suite products.
• Resolve development and rollout issues, and communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Participate in full MES deployment lifecycle including planning, architecture, configuration, development, testing, integration, and support.
• Support and configure GE Proficy MES suite for automotive or discrete manufacturing industries.
• Work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to ensure successful global rollouts.

Technical Skills:

• GE MES Suite: Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, IGS, Kepware
• SQL Server, SSRS, .NET scripting, PowerShell
• Understanding of PLC, SCADA systems, GE Cimplicity Tracker
• Experience with other MES platforms like Apriso is a plus
• Familiarity with MESA, ISA-95, and manufacturing KPIs
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in battery and automotive sectors

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience with GE Proficy MES.
• Proven ability to manage MES implementations and global rollouts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work 50-60% hands-on while leading technical initiatives.
