We are looking for DevOps Engineers for our client's offices in San Jose, CA, and San Diego, CA. Candidates should have a keen understanding of infrastructure and operations, with solid experience developing cloud-based solutions and products using AWS (S3, EC2, etc.) and scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.). The role involves providing operational support and process improvements.

• Designing and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems, including planning and performing OS and software upgrades.
• Developing and supporting cloud infrastructure designs and implementations, with direct involvement in software deployment.
• Proposing and creating system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide development teams, along with appropriate documentation.

• Minimum 5 years of infrastructure/operations experience, ideally in a startup environment with a DevOps culture.
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., Xen/KVM), AWS (S3, EC2, etc.), and post-implementation support.
• Experience in agile software development environments.
• Network management experience, including network stack, tuning, load balancing, subnets/VLANs.
• Experience with automated deployment and scripting (Python, Ruby, etc.).
• Understanding of file system and storage configurations such as NFS, SSD, and data replication.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and orchestration tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience with system monitoring tools such as Zenos, Nagios, or Sensu.

• Knowledge of open source technologies (e.g., Apache/Tomcat, Nginx, MySQL).
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Solr, Elasticsearch, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with enterprise wiki tools like Confluence.
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with issue tracking and project management tools like Jira.
