Detention Officer - Non-Certified - Ak-Chin Indian Community : Job Details

Under general supervision, performs a variety of activities associated with booking, release, and detention of prisoners in a detention facility. Detention Officers may be assigned to a day, swing, or graveyard shift on a regular rotational basis that includes working nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum Qualifications Experience equivalent to one year full time detention, correctional, or closely related criminal justice work. Will be required to attend a AZ Correctional Officer Training Academy (COTA) or Basic Corrections Officer Training Program. Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and be able to meet the Community's insurance carrier requirements (no DUI/ DWI convictions within the last 5 years.) Must be able to pass an extensive background check, which includes polygraph test, psychological evaluation and physical exam.
