Desktop Support Technician - Vaco : Job Details

Vaco is hiring for a Desktop Support Technician opportunity in Buford GA. Onsite Salary: 23-25/hrOverview:Provides day-to-day technical support and customer service to local and remote users for network infrastructure and desktop/laptop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop/laptop systems, printers and other various office equipment onsite or via remote connection. Coordinate repair of defective equipment in remote offices that will require onsite technical intervention using approved contractors.Desktop Support Technician Job duties

• Evaluate, Prioritize and Resolve multiple task requests from employees and management for technology assistance on hardware, desktop operating systems, business software, personal devices, connectivity or telecommunication equipment
• Perform installation, OS deployments, configuration, and upgrade task regularly on new and rebuilt PCs and laptops
• Build and maintain OS deployment images regularly
• Perform hardware and software repairs on office equipment for local and remote sites
• Create and maintain user accounts using Active Directory and other login accounts in our various business software
• Assist in developing how-to documentation, training material and FAQs for employees on various office software as well as documenting all standard Desktop support task
• Accurately record and maintain up-to-date inventory of office equipment
• Establish a regular schedule for updating and PM on existing office equipment
• Research, evaluate and recommend new hardware, software and technologies
• Infrequently travel
• Other duties as assigned by IT Director

Qualifications:

• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Operation and deployment
• Familiarity of MS networking to include Active Directory, Share Permissions, etc.
• Comp TIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Office Specialist certifications preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
