Desktop Engineer - Liberty Personnel Services : Job Details

Our client in New York City is seeking a Desktop Engineer. This is a full time, direct hire role with a very well established company.

Prior law firm industry experience is strongly preferred.

Job Summary:

• Platform Management:
  • Install,configure,and maintain desktops,laptops,and peripherals across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Deploy and manage iOS devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Configure user profiles,permissions,and access controls in Active Directory.
  • Maintain and update device software and applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on all platforms.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide first-line and advanced support to users across all platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Document support interactions for future reference and improvement.
  • Train and educate users on new technologies and best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other IT teams to address complex technical challenges.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with users and colleagues.
  • Collaborate on developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g.,PowerShell,Bash).
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g.,Azure,AWS).
• Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for all platforms.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning.
