Job Purpose
A Herc IT Desktop Analyst focus is responsible for Herc Laptop and Desktop installation and support for the Field Services Center in Bonita Springs, FL, and remote support for 300+ branch locations throughout the USA and Canada.
What You Will Do...
- Provide first & second level desktop support for PC/LAN and laptop/workstation end-users including executives and senior-level management
- Update and monitor ticketing systems
- Provide routine problem reporting and recommendations to management
- Utilize technical and procedure documentation for Service Desk, PC desktop/laptop configuration standards and install procedures
- Configuration and deployment of new desktop and laptop systems
- Support networked printing devices including mapping, scanning and application setup.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and printing issues as they occur
- Assist IT related projects
- Provide new hardware/software for users as approved, assist in asset tag control and inventory management.
- Install, configure, move, and retire PC equipment
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with all business clients
- Overtime and occasional weekend shifts required as needed

Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or related two years minimum will also be considered
- Certification: CompTIA A+
- Certifications Preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation 3.0 or 4.0
- Two or more years' experience supporting computers and printers in an enterprise network environment
- Knowledge/experience with a broad base of tools and technologies around Desktop and laptop support in an enterprise environment is required
- Interacts with management, technical, and business users to understand the business and technical requirements of the organization regarding assigned work tasks
- Works in a collaborative manner with other team members to balance and address operational tasks, project work, and business requests
- Supports application lifecycle for centrally supported PC applications
- Provides operational support for endpoint protection, encryption, client management, and other client-side computer management solutions
- Work with other Desktop support staff to provide engineering technical solutions in support of business requirements
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware (Dell, Apple, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of TCP/IP, DCHP, DNS, VPN, AD, and network
- Experience with Apple/Android phones, tablets, and MacBook's preferred
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office 2016 Suites, and Office 365, SharePoint, various Adobe products, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Cisco VPN, and Service Now or similar ticketing systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to provide appropriate client support and interaction
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Ability to work well with others across many organizations including branch locations, sales and marketing, finance, customer support, and field services
