We are a rapidly growing company looking for a driven team member who would like to grow with us. This person will be responsible for managing architectural millwork projects across the country. We are currently seeking an individual with project management experience, effective communication skills and strict adherence to helping us and customers meet critical project deadlines..

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee architectural millwork, metal, and stone projects from contract signing through completion
  • Ability to manage 3-5 projects at various stages of development at a time.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure critical project milestones are met and customer expectations exceeded
  • Conduct job site visits as necessary to ensure quality control and smooth project execution
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, production, and installation teams to ensure alignment and visibility and adherence to project milestones
  • Serve as primary point of contact to customer, ensuring proactive communication with clients, general contractors, vendors, and field teams to prevent and resolve issues before they arise
  • Respond to internal and external questions around project RFIs
  • Responsible for securing field measurements and coordinating with the appropriate personnel
  • Track project financials, manage change orders, and issue RFIs to keep projects aligned with scope and budget. Is this billing, tracking of progress payments, etc?
  • Responsible for acquiring written approval of all contracts and change orders prior to ordering work.
  • Responsible for distribution of safety plan and competent person worksheet for each commercial project
  • Responsible for obtaining, coordinating and distributing all required documents pursuant to the contract including but not limited to: COI, Workers Comp, General liability, W-9, Certified Payrolls, requests for progress payments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters

Qualification Requirements

  • Prior demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • High degree of comfort working with general contractors, architects, other trades at commercial jobsites
  • Demonstrated prior experience employing project management tools to ensure timely attainment of project milestones and cross company and function alignment on timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Through understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word and Excel.
  • Proven knowledge of the requirements to manufacture and install Architectural Millwork and the AWI Standards
  • Valid US Drivers Licenses
  • Pass State and Federal Background Checks
  • This job requires travel to client sites up to 25% domestic travel

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs when required at job sites
  • Ability to use various electronic and manual measuring devices on job sites
  • Ability to stand, kneel and squat and move about job sites to obtain field dimensions
  • When required to obtain field dimensions, climb step ladders and other elevated platforms to a height of 15 feet

Experience

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in related field, such as Construction Management, Construction Sciences, Architecture, Interior Design.
  • 3-5 years of related project management experience required
  • PMP certification a plus
