Designer - Architecture - Senior page is loaded Designer - Architecture - Senior Apply locations Austin, TX, US time type Full time posted on Posted 4 Days Ago job requisition id R-15923 Your RoleIn this role, you will create and develop overall design concepts, formulate design presentation strategies, and provide creative process leadership to multiple design teams through all phases of projects.You are a natural leader who enjoys guiding our clients, presenting complex design concepts, and working with senior leaders on business development.You will be successful because you have exceptional design skills, a proven track record of leading architectural projects, and enjoy mentoring and developing architectural design teams.What You Will DoLead assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.Provide strategically minded design support for organization, production and execution of projects.Participate in seamless collaboration with internal/external teams, professional consultants and other strategic partners.Participate in design iterations with team members in generating, 3D modeling, utilizing Revit, Sketchup, Enscape and/or other modeling or rendering software in conjunction with Adobe Creative SuiteProvide vision for proposals and strategy for interviews to secure project opportunitiesGuide and mentor junior designers, assisting in leading multiple projects at a high level, working in a collaborative manner with other design and technical staffHelp to nurture and sustain client relationsWork closely with your team and across the office and firm, to promote and model an inter-disciplinary design approach that enhances Gensler's culture of design quality and excellence.Your QualificationsRegistered Architect requiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program8+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple typologies of varying scaleAbility to communicate and present design concepts and rationalesAbility to address client requests, budget considerations, existing or new architectural opportunities or constraints or other impacts on design conceptKnowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts.Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other modeling softwareGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasAbility to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituentsPortfolio with work samples required.
