Location: Port Angeles, WA (no remote work)

Full-Time / Exempt

Pay Range: $96,650 - $106,312 per year (DOE/DOQ)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am), 3 to 4 days per week. Must be available for weekends, holidays, and emergency shift coverage.

About the Role

As a Designated Crisis Responder, you'll provide mobile crisis intervention, stabilization, and clinical assessments for adults, youth, and families. This role includes involuntary commitment investigations under Washington State law (RCW 71.05, 71.34, 70.96B) once DCR training is complete. You'll work closely with community partners to ensure safety, support, and recovery-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mobile crisis response, assessments, and stabilization.
  • Develop individualized safety and treatment plans.
  • Conduct crisis case management, triage, and brief therapy.
  • Perform involuntary treatment investigations and Less Restrictive Alternative (LRA) monitoring (after DCR training).
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, hospitals, schools, law enforcement, and community providers.
  • Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field; or BSN with 2+ years psychiatric experience.
  • Eligible as a Washington State Mental Health Professional (MHP).
  • Licensure as LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or associate-level equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Vaccination records required (MMR, Hep B, Tdap, flu).

Preferred

  • Two years' crisis intervention experience.
