Design Release Engineer - L&T Technology Services : Job Details

Position Summary

Seeking a Design Engineer to support multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. This role is essential for achieving strategic goals and offers strong opportunities for technical growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development

• Collaborate with suppliers to develop engine-mounted cooling components.
• Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, simulation, testing) throughout the development cycle.
• Conduct and review DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Analyze CFD/FEA results and assess cost implications.
• Release components using internal systems.
• Lead design reviews and present findings to leadership.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with support from domain experts.

Current Product Improvement

• Perform teardown and root cause analysis of existing components.

Collaboration

• Work closely with suppliers, simulation teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively across global teams.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering with 5+ years of experience in component design and validation.
• Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience also acceptable.
• Internship experience is considered relevant.
• Candidates with only modeling/drafting experience will not be considered.

Technical Skills

• Design release experience.
• Strong academic foundation in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanics of materials.
• Experience with DFMEA and validation planning.
• Proficiency in CREO.
• Prior experience working with suppliers in collaborative development processes.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
