DESIGN ENGINEER - Custom Truck One Source : Job Details

Design mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems for truck mounted equipment that meet the applicable standards and to perform the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Design and analyze mechanical structures and components, electrical and hydraulic systems. Design based on applicable regulations and industry standards. Document designs using 3 D solid (Solid. Works) and 2 D drafting software (AutoCAD). Evaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stability. Develop sources for required hardware and systems. Create sales support drawings. Analyze product failures, develop repairs and redesign accordingly. Assist Manufacturing Engineering with development of work orders. Assist Production with floor-level decision making, development of work processes and tools. Maintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documents by utilizing PDM and ECO processes.
