Job Opportunity: Design Engineer, EIT Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer, EIT , to join our Air Transportation team based in our Cedar Rapids office. The majority of your time will be assisting project managers and engineers in design and construction activities on Municipal Aviation/Air Transportation projects.What You Will Be Doing: Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal aviation/air transportation projectsPerform basic design computations, preliminary layouts, research, and prepare rough drafts of reports and feasibility studiesAssist with project plans, specifications, and prepare cost and quantity estimatesConduct construction observation activities, including staking, documentation, measuring, testing, and interacting with contractors, residents, and City staffWhat We Are Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited collegeEngineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hirePrior experience in infrastructure design and/or construction observationKnowledge of CAD and design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)Willingness to travel during construction seasonValid driver's license for travel to facilities and job sitesWhy Bolton & Menk?
