Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Our client, a growing apparel company, is seeking a Sweater Designer to join their team in New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop concepts, sketches, CADs, and prototypes for new collections.
• Stay updated on trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to create designs that resonate with our target audience.
• Research and select suitable fabrics, and trims for each collection, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
• Work closely with tech designers to oversee the development of prototypes and fits of garments.
• Collaborate with production teams to monitor the manufacturing process, ensuring timely delivery of finished products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design with 5-6 years of experience
• Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of construction, textiles, techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality pieces.
