Adecco Creative is partnering with an iconic NYC fashion brand to recruit for a part-time, contract Design Assistant role. This role will be ongoing contract and 2 days per week.
Primary Purpose: The Design Assistant you will work with the RTW design team to help facilitate the creation and execution of custom design pieces from concept to completion. - Work closely with Senior Design Director to execute seasonal design concepts from conception to finished look.
- Assist with image research, illustration, spec drawings and development packages.
- Organize presentation boards and assist in the preparation of meetings with Sr Design Director Boards include project/talent concept, color palettes, inspiration, materials, techniques.
- Responsible for timeline adherence; ensure all Design Cards are completed thoroughly and updated through fittings in a timely manner; ensure all prototypes are available and presentable for fittings or meetings.
- Assist in acquiring Coach samples from the Archive, Sample Library, PR and Global Merchandising Teams and ensure return of samples for VIP/Styling assignments or design references.
- Source local fabrics, leathers and trims appropriate for the project brief
