The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Deputy Director to join the Program Management / Programs Pedestrian Ramps Program team. The successful candidate will supervise a team of Senior Project Administrators, Project Administrators, and Junior Project Administrators responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately $5.6 Billion of design and construction of Pedestrian Ramps projects throughout the five boroughs. The Deputy Director will monitor, track, and identify critical issues throughout the project scope development, pre-design, construction, and final design phases; and serve as liaison between the agency, NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and other client agencies as it relates to project scopes, conflicts, troubleshooting, and resolving project related issues that arise. Lastly, the final candidate will utilize the Agency's technical resources such as Benchmark to ensure that projects meet DDC's Commitment Plan objectives; manage engineering consultants; maintain comprehensive project history e-files; coordinate project schedules; prepare project correspondence and reports; serve as the representative of the team in meetings with utility companies, and city, state, and federal agencies regarding pedestrian ramps issues; train staff in executing the team' responsibilities; participate in the recruitment efforts of the agency; and support the Associate Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and Program Director with the team's objectives as required. Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. Minimum Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or 2. A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience as described in 1 above; two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or 3. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above. An accredited Master's degree in one of the disciplines described in 1 above, a law degree, or a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect or Landscape Architect may be substituted for one year of the required experience. However, all candidates must have the two years of the administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in 1 above.

General understanding of ADA/ProWAG standards. 4. Good interpersonal skills are required in dealing with clients, consultants, contractors, technical and non-technical staff, and managers at all levels. 5. Strong data analytics capabilities. 6. In-depth knowledge of pertinent computer applications and data systems 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft PowerBI 8. Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL). 9. Knowledge relevant to infrastructure work (i.e., roadway, sewer, and/or water main) 10. Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling 11. Valid driver's license (required)
