Job Opportunity in San Diego Join our team in the Military Aircraft Group at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) on North Island Navy station at Coronado Island, San Diego, CA. We are seeking a part-time team member to contribute to our mission with a flexible schedule, approximately 20 hours per week. Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control:
    • Manage warehousing and ensure proper storage of all parts.
    • Securely store all Government property.
  • Receiving Inspection:
    • Receive hardware/components from our Torrance location.
    • Prepare kits for depot dispatch.
    • Verify paperwork and store units appropriately.
  • Depot Repair:
    • Deliver units/parts to depot personnel.
    • Act as a liaison between our team and the Depot.
    • Ensure quality standards are met.
    • Track units through the depot process.
  • Maintain Stockroom at Depot:
    • Manage the 24-hour parts turn-around commitment.
    • Ensure parts replenishment at the on-site stockroom.
    • Store extra parts from completed kits.
  • Shipping Units to End Customers:
    • Confirm completion of C of C and Serviceable Tag (DD1574) by the depot.
    • Coordinate with ATAC or other carriers for pick-up.
  • Tracking Cost at the Depot:
    • Collect and monitor Artisan cost at the depot.
  • Correspondence Publications:
    • Publish updates when units are sent to the depot for work.
    • Publish updates when units are shipped.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to understand and apply work instructions and training.
  • Experience with Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Material Handling, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
  • Basic skills in computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Requirements This role requires constant standing and the ability to lift materials and containers up to 25 pounds regularly. For heavier materials, lifting devices are available, with training provided as needed. Benefits
