Franklin Savings Bank Position Description Deposit Operations Specialist (IRA and HSA Concentration) Non-Exempt Service Criteria All individuals holding positions with Franklin Savings Bank are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner consistent with FSBs Pledge of Excellence. General Purpose In accordance with established policies and procedures, this position is responsible for file maintenance and records pertaining to Individual Retirement and Health Savings Accounts (IRAs/HSAs) to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Banks IRA, HSA and CIF files. Additionally, this position accomplishes a variety of duties to service, research and maintain customer accounts and information files. This position provides support to the Retail Banking Department and will communicate with customers when necessary. This position reports to the Deposit Operations Manager. Duties And Responsibilities Deposit Operations Responsible to maintain and update the Banks customer information files to include review of new accounts, title changes, and any other maintenance as required. Responsible for maintaining the Banks legal customer files. Compile the monthly reporting on IOLTA accounts to the NH Bar. Maintain and verify Tax Payer Identification Numbers, W-8s, and W-9s. Responsible for correcting customer tax information and submission to the IRS. Manage the processing of IRS Backup-Withholding notifications (B-notices). Process any garnishments the bank receives (IRS levies, NH Tax Warrants, etc.). Complete customer and account maintenance as necessary. Process dormant and inactive account reports, including the annual escheatment process. Responsible for the review and resolution of customer, account and transaction exception reports. Process outgoing and incoming wires (domestic and foreign). Responsible for account conversions and product changes as necessary.
