Departmental Analyst 9-P11 - FOIA Coordinator - State of Michigan : Job Details

This position serves as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR), as required by Section 6(1) of Act 442 of 1976. Position is responsible for ensuring that MDCR is in compliance with and reviewing interpreting, and applying federal and state FOIA laws, regulations, and policies. It is also responsible for processing of FOIA requests and ensuring that responses to FOIA requests comply with applicable laws and that regulations are appropriately addressed; resolving problems and questions related to FOIA; reviewing and signing FOIA denial letters; and serving as the departments liaison with the Office of Attorney General related to FOIA.
