The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites applications for a full-time, temporary Associate Director of Bands for the 2025-2026 academic year. Duties:Direct the IUP Marching Band plan and lead rehearsals, participate in gameday planning meetings, and execute planned fall 2025 Marching Band schedule, including exhibitions and community events. Direct the IUP Symphony Band. Teach additional courses according to candidates strengths, including music theory/ear training and marching band techniques. Establish and maintain positive relationships with public school programs in the state and region and with IUP alumni. Select, manage, and work productively with assistant directors, staff and student leadership. Oversee budget and financial operations of the IUP Marching Band. Pursue scholarly growth as appropriate to the primary and/or secondary area(s) of discipline.
