**Core Responsibilities**

* The Department Manager for Clean Energy Solutions, LMI will be responsible for developing, steering and implementing strategy to reduce CO2 emissions in homes, buildings and communities for low-to-moderate income customers and stakeholders in the Con Edison territory. The Department Manager will champion the company's vision for engaging our LMI customers, policy advocates, policy makers and other stakeholders in bringing clean energy solutions to LMI neighborhoods. The candidate will work closely with Company Leadership to address and navigate internal and external challenges to serving, engaging and financing LMI solutions; inform, advance or influence critical policy decisions that impact the access and delivery of energy efficiency to LMI customers; and advocate for the customer and the Company with local and state government. The Department Manager will oversee the LMI Program Team and manage resources necessary for program delivery. The Manager will have responsibility for achieving clean energy targets and energy efficiency goals in the LMI customer segment. They will oversee City and State initiatives, such as the implementation of the statewide LMI portfolio and Con Edison's engagement on the New York State LMI Joint Management Committee (JMC).

* Lead the customer-centric approach to develop an agenda for low-to-moderate (LMI) customers within the Company's Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency business. Steer and coordinate research that informs on the needs, barriers and risks in serving LMI customers and engaging stakeholders.

* Work closely with Company Leadership to address and navigate internal and external challenges to serving, engaging and financing LMI solutions; inform, advance or influence critical policy decisions that impact the access and delivery of energy efficiency to LMI customers; and advocate for the customer and the Company with local and state government.

* Oversee resources necessary to deliver on clean energy targets and energy efficiency goals in the LMI customer segment. Ensuring the Company is adequately represented on the Joint Utilities and working with NYSERDA on the state-wide LMI initiative.

* Collaborate with the Program Delivery, Strategy & Planning, and Strategic Channel Engagement teams to determine key policy and business agenda that should be brought to major partners or to introduce ideas and considerations from these stakeholders to the energy efficiency business.

* Represent the Company as the LMI solutions expert; doing public engagements and outreach and reporting/ summarizing achievements, activities and outcomes of initiatives.

* Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

**Required Education/Experience**

* Bachelor's Degree And 10 years of work experience with at least 3 managing high profile stakeholder relationships and 3 years of experience with public policy. Must have had direct reports.

**Preferred Education/Experience**

* Master's Degree Master's Degree in relevant/ related field (MBA, Sustainability, MPA, Policy, Urban Planning, Urban Policy)

**Required Work Experience**

* Managing high profile stakeholder relationships with demonstrated success. Required

* Experience in public policy or advocacy or familiarity and or experience with public housing/ housing services/ low-income services in any sector or experience working in a political/ regulated environment in a similar role. Required

* Experience Leading operational business segment or working in cross-functional teams as the lead with demonstrated success. Required

* Experience managing/ supervising a team or direct reports. Required

* Proven ability to work in a high-pressure and rapidly changing policy environment; with ability to represent an organization's values and interests publicly and successfully navigate complex, interrelated initiatives. Required

* Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and make fair, appropriate and clear, deliberate decisions amidst uncertainty and unknowns. Required

* Excellent public presentation skills and broad communication experience in speaking and business writing. Required

* Ability to motivate individuals/ team and influence results through others directly and indirectly, with strong evidence of building trust with external stakeholders. Required

* Demonstrated innovative problem solving and analytical skills; proven ability to create and implement strategy. Required

* Strong business acumen with a solid grasp of key industry issues. Required

* Strong interpersonal, networking and people management skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus. Required

* Demonstration of diplomacy, tact and high emotional intelligence. Required

* Experience in the energy efficiency, clean energy, real estate, property management, equipment manufacturing or construction industries. Preferred

* Existing relationships with partners and stakeholders working on low-to-moderate income solutions in NY State or NYC. Preferred
