Pay Rate: $40.00- $50.00 per hour (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position) 8-12 hours per week - no weekends

GENERAL SCOPE: To perform oral prophylaxis and to provide instruction in oral health care.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in New York

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Obtain medical records and check health histories prior to performing exams and prophylaxis for any conditions requiring pre-medications and verify that medication has been administered.

• Perform prophylaxis and expose radiographs according to the patient's ability to tolerate procedures. Clean and ID dentures.

• Document procedures performed and any pertinent information in the patient's medical record and in the dental office record.

• Prepare autoclave-monitoring ampules for autoclave testing.

• Prepares basic prophylaxis set-ups.

• All other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: 2 plus years of work experience, some experience with older adults preferred.
