DENTAL HYGIENIST - HOLLIS AVENUE DTC, Full-Time | Queens, NY | Immediate Consideration Salary: $33.71/hr. + full 1199 Union benefits Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a proud member of the MediSys Health Network, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our Hollis Avenue DTC team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform teeth cleaning, scaling, polishing, and preventive treatments (fluoride, sealants).
  • Conduct oral health assessments, screen for dental disease and oral cancer, and report findings to dentists.
  • Take and develop digital dental X-rays; assist dentists during procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, and disease prevention.
  • Document all treatments and assessments accurately in patient records/EMR.
  • Follow strict infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols.
  • Support efficient clinic workflow and patient management.

  • Licensed New York State Dental Hygienist.
  • Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
  • Strong clinical skills, including periodontal assessment, scaling, and preventive care.
  • Experience with digital radiography and dental EMR/software systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
  • Knowledge of infection control, sterilization procedures, and OSHA standards.
  • Experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, including those with dental anxiety or special needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with dentists and clinical staff.
