Dental Hygienist - flexible schedule - AIDS Care Group : Job Details

We're seeking a compassionate, team-oriented dental hygienist who is committed to providing excellent patient care and contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment. Our office hours are: Monday - Friday 9AM-4PM Starting pay range: $45-$50 per hour Duties will include and are not limited to:

• Deliver dental care to patients using established dental hygienist procedures
• Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums, using dental instruments
• Feel and visually examine gums for sores and signs of disease
• Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist
• Feel lymph nodes under patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer
• Apply fluorides or other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay
• Examine gums, using probes, to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease
• Take and interpret digital x-rays
• Remove excess cement from coronal surfaces of teeth
• Administer local anesthetic agents

• Active License to practice dental hygiene in the State of PA
• At least one (1) year experience working as a dental hygienist
• Certification of Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner preferred but not required
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
• Must be able to comfortably work with people of all lifestyles

Work Conditions:

• Primarily a stationary position
• Occasional stooping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Occasional lifting of equipment or supplies (up to 30lbs)

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or fell, and reach with arms and hands
