Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program.
Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Hygienist. In this role, the successful candidate The Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) provides preventive dental services, education and treatment for the patients of Dental School Health Program network as well as perform duties at the FHC sites (as needed) and participates in educational programs in the community. The RDH will float between dental school health and FHC site locations based on operational needs. FHC scheduled hours for the Registered Dental Hygienist may fluctuate based on operational needs. He/she performs expanded functions as allowed by state law.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a NYS Dental Hygiene License, CPR Certification Willingness to devote the time required completing assigned tasks on schedule Devotes attention and resources to provide the best customer service possible. Utilizes all available resources to reach sound decisions Initiates action to solve problems and assumes responsibility Works with others toward shared goals including participation in department problem-solving and improvement activities. Demonstrates an awareness of and respect for co-workers/patients' cultural background, treating people with fairness and respect. Complies with HIPAA, OSHA, JCAHO, and Institution policies and procedures Meets attendance guidelines Meets punctuality guidelines. Meets annual mandatory education requirements Completes goals and assigned projects in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual Spanish or Chinese

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $86,576.95 - $100,467.44 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
