We are currently looking for a full-time Dental Care Hygienist to become an integral part of our healthcare team at our Sutphin Health Center, located in Queens, NY. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral care and education to both adult and pediatric patients. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to understand how social and economic factors influence patients' oral health and to enhance the quality of care provided. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene care, including the removal of plaque, stains, and calcareous deposits.
• Provide dental prophylaxis, full mouth debridement, topical fluoride treatments, and dental sealants.
• Conduct full mouth periodontal charting to assist the supervising dentist in developing treatment plans.
• Perform X-ray imaging as requested and take impressions for study casts.
• Offer patient education on oral hygiene, tobacco cessation, and nutritional counseling, emphasizing the correlation between oral health and overall health.
• Conduct visual oral health screenings for HeadStart and ABCD programs.

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.
• Valid New York State license to act as a dental hygienist.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid NYS driver's license.

Experience:

• 0-1 year of work experience required, with 2-4 years preferred.
