The Manager, Supply Chain Planning (Demand) will be responsible for leading the Demand Planning team for Asurion Supply Chain. This position will be responsible for managing the forecasting process for over 20+ programs/clients, with multiple layers of distribution / and fulfillment across > 10k sku's. The output of the forecasts will be used for operational planning, and as input to drive future purchase requirements by the Supply Planning team. This position will be responsible for leading and developing direct reporting employees and managing the workload across various levels. The position will establish our long-term forecasting strategy and goals on how to improve the existing processes for synergy across clients and programs, our key KPI measures, and responsibility for AOP deliverables.

The Manager will own continuous improvement initiatives, with the goal of continually evaluating the forecasting process, ensuring forecasting fundamental assumptions and calculations are up to date and will participate in new client launches, and supply chain initiatives from a Demand Planning perspective.

The Manager will support the short and long-term strategic direction for all aspects of supply chain planning and for the given set of clients. The Manager will support constructive collaboration among all operational groups of the global supply chain. This is done through ensuring departmental results are in line with and delivered in accordance with the Supply Chain Planning strategic plan and Company Core Values.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team that manages 12–24-month forecasts across 20+ Programs/Clients (AE, Same Day, SUR (Various levels)) at overall and multiple layers of distribution across 10k sku's
  • Develop, maintain and improve upon best-in-class performance in forecast development methodology, forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, KPI and all relevant Demand Planning Accuracy Metrics
  • Lead development and refresh of Annual Operating Plan as it pertains to the group of clients supported
  • Lead and influence cross functionally as it relates to forecasts and stakeholder understanding
  • Drive demand planning process improvements resulting in continued efficiency and or accuracy gains
  • Maintain communication channels among all operational groups within the Planning department through information sharing, thought leadership, and tactical and strategic planning
  • Drive actions to increase profitability through demand planning accuracy improvements
  • Develop and Publish Monthly Operations forecast used for staffing TLC operations
  • Support and facilitate employee growth, both business/process acumen and Asurion culture
  • Support the “Asurion Way” and lead by example by engaging in company sponsored events

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Supply Chain management, Demand Planning, Program Management or global procurement or planning
  • BS Supply Chain Management or other technical/mathematical field
  • 3 years working with statistical forecasting packages along with fine tuning those tools based on error analysis
  • 2+ years experience in process analysis and continuous improvement efforts
