Job Description Form Title Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant (Part-time)Department(s) St. Joseph Reports to Branch Manager Hours: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (20-30 hrs. a week)Position Summary:The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of parts to customers. This position's primary responsibility is operating company vehicles to complete deliveries while providing excellent customer service. When not on delivery routes, this role supports warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:Delivery Driving (Primary):

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parts to customers in a timely manner
• Load and secure parts for transport, ensuring accuracy and damage prevention
• Provide professional, courteous service to customers upon delivery
• Maintain delivery logs and follow all DOT and company safety regulations

Warehouse Support (Secondary):

• Assist with receiving and stocking incoming parts from UPS and freight deliveries
• Pull and prepare parts for customer orders when not on delivery routes
• Load and unload delivery vehicles as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
• Answer incoming calls and relay messages appropriately
• Provide general support to the St. Joseph team to help achieve Valley Truck Parts' goals

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Hi-Lo certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with safe work practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Physical Requirements:This position requires regular physical activity and the ability to perform tasks that support warehouse operations and delivery responsibilities. Specific physical demands include:

• Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, and Pulling: Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. This includes loading and unloading delivery trucks, stocking shelves, and handling freight shipments.
• Frequent Movement: Regular walking, standing, bending, and kneeling throughout the shift, often on concrete surfaces. Tasks may require navigating tight spaces and climbing ladders or steps.
• Manual Dexterity and Handling: Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, grasping, and handling parts and equipment. May involve repetitive motions and use of hand tools or warehouse equipment.
• Communication and Hearing: Clear verbal communication is essential for interacting with team members and customers. Must be able to hear and respond to instructions, phone calls, and safety signals in a busy environment.
• Environmental Conditions: Work may be performed in varying temperatures, including non-climate-controlled warehouse areas and outdoor settings during deliveries. Exposure to dust, noise, and occasional vibration from equipment is expected.
