Delivery Driver - New California Coffee Essentials : Job Details

We're New California, a growing coffee distribution company serving some of the best specialty coffee shops in Charleston. We're looking for a dependable delivery driver with a solid vehicle (SUV, minivan, truck, or cargo van) who takes pride in doing things right. You'll be a key part of keeping Charleston's coffee scene running strong.This could be a great fit for someone who's a student, semi-retired or looking for consistent morning work to pair with another part-time gig. Delivery days start between 6:00 and 6:30 AM, so early risers or folks with flexible mornings are ideal. Your afternoons will end at your last delivery stop in Charleston. Never later than 11am.What you'll do:Load your vehicle at our storage unit on US-52 between Moncks Corner and Goose Creek (cases of milk weigh about 13 pounds each, with deliveries totaling around 100 cases—this role is labor-intensive and requires some physical output).Deliver product to local cafés (routes are consistent and well-organized).Be on time, friendly, and professional—you're part of the face of our company.Communicate clearly if issues arise—we're a small team and rely on one another.Schedule & Pay:2–3 delivery days per week(current route is 2 days; a 3rd will be added shortly after hiring)Tuesdays are our heavier day (~4.5 hours including loading)Fridays and one other day are lighter (~2–2.5 hours including loading)$75 flat per delivery day$35 bonus for receiving inventory (up to 3x per month)Fuel costs included in the flat rate1099 independent contractor roleThis role is great for someone who:Values reliability and takes pride in their workEnjoys variety, being out in the world, and connecting with local businessesWants to feel like they're part of something—Charleston's growing coffee sceneHas a clean driving record and owns a capable vehicleWe don't micromanage.
