How You Will Contribute:

  • Deliver high-quality, repeatable solutions with Professional Services project teams while ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Transition project delivery from the Sales team, taking ownership to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead customer workshops and design sessions, crafting technical architecture and design specifications that drive success.
  • Provide expert guidance on resolving complex implementation issues and ensuring best practices for Blue Planet products.
  • Manage multiple customer engagements, addressing challenges proactively and navigating client relationships effectively.
  • Educate teams on industry trends, best practices, and Blue Planet solutions while continuously developing consulting and application skills.
  • Advocate for improvements in practice efficiency, services, and processes to enhance overall delivery.

The Must Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in OSS projects with a deep understanding of telecom network design and architectures.
  • Expertise in OSS Inventory Management, Discovery, Activation, and associated technologies like SDN/NFV, cloud infrastructure, and service orchestration.
  • Knowledge of inventory systems such as Amdocs ARM (Cramer), Ericsson Granite, Netcracker, Oracle MetaSolv, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in Solution Architecture within telco OSS/BSS areas, managing distributed teams, and leading complex global projects.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional business and technical communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management and executives.
  • Availability to travel as required.

  • Experience implementing Blue Planet solutions and systems integrations.
  • Expertise in telecommunications, broadband, and communications planning and pricing.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and adaptability skills.
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to build rapport and drive change effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of applied business practices in telecommunications and related industries.
  • Superior verbal presentation and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and proactively resolve challenges.

Pay Range:The annual pay range for this position is $130,900 - $209,100.

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
