Role and Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily communication meetings with employees.
  • Maintain productivity and quality levels as set by the Logistics Manager.
  • Create and sustain an environment motivating employees to take ownership of responsibilities to increase productivity.
  • Analyze warehouse areas to reduce backorders and shipping errors while minimizing costs.
  • Schedule warehousing activities for optimal storage.
  • Make sound decisions quickly.
  • Analyze logistic trends and adapt to changes in day-to-day business.
  • Resolve employee issues.
  • Ensure regular completion of cycle counts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have active high-level authorization to view nondisclosed information, which requires an investigative screening exam. All information is subject to verification, and a security background check is mandatory. Prior completed background checks are a plus.

What You Will Do

In addition to core logistician skills, candidates should have experience with:

  • Property accounting processes and related forms.
  • Automated inventory control systems.
  • Ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, property accountability, and managing excess property.
  • Processing paperwork related to Government Bill of Lading and DD1149.
Required Skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with project management, security, asset management, customer service, and help desk teams.
  • Conflict resolution, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification: SEC+ CE, CYSA, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CASP, or CISM.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Logistician, with management experience preferred.
