Doctoral degree preferred. Up to five years of progressively more responsible leadership positions in college administration are required, including at least three years in student services or enrollment management. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, including the proven ability to build relationships with staff and to effectively lead staff and processes within a multi-campus environment. General Summary The Dean of Student Success and Enrollment Management provides collegewide leadership and oversight of student support and enrollment management operations and services at all campuses and centers. In collaboration with the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management, assists with short and long-term institutional planning including the recommendation and development of new programs and services as well as recruitment, enrollment, and retention initiatives. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Essential Functions 1. Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight of on and off campus Student Success and Enrollment Management teams and operations including the direct supervision of the College Registrar, Director of Enrollment Technology Strategies, and three Associate Deans. Provides support to the campus Associate Deans in their oversight and leadership of the following areas: Admissions & Enrollment, Student Activities/Engagement, Residence Life, Transfer Advising, Academic Success Center, and Career & Employment Services. Essential Functions 2. Develops, recommends, implements and evaluates programs and procedures related to enrollment management and student support services. Reviews, modifies and updates collegewide publications. In collaboration with the Vice President, establishes goals and objectives for enrollment and support services that are consistent with the College's vision for enrollment growth and retention. Essential Functions 3. Collaborates with the Instructional Deans and Associate Deans and with the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management to develop and recommend enrollment and retention strategies. Represents the Student Success and Enrollment Management Division as a member of the Educational Services Committee. Essential Functions 4. Collaborates with College Communications, Institutional Research, instructional divisions, and other offices as needed to utilize data for decision making and enrollment planning. Utilizes college software to analyze and make data-supported recommendations. Researches, designs, and recommends short and long-range enrollment management recruitment and retention plans. Essential Functions Serves as a member of the Title IX Resolution Team when needed and completes trainings as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator. Essential Functions 6. Recommends for hire, trains, directs, evaluates the performance of and, when necessary, recommends discipline or discharge of subordinate personnel. Assists direct reports with employee relations problems. Serves as arbiter in helping to resolve problems for direct reports, including concerns related to scheduling, budget allocation, staff/student conflicts, and other employee concerns. Essential Functions 7. Plans, administers, monitors and evaluates designated Student Success and Enrollment Management budgets. Communicates with the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management and makes recommendations related to new position needs, program development requests, and other budgetary needs. Assists with the development of grant proposals to help fund new programs and services. Essential Functions 8. Leads collegewide committees, initiatives, or taskforce groups as assigned.
