About the Role

The institution is seeking an innovative and committed Dean of Academic Affairs in Health Sciences. In this dynamic leadership position, you will oversee all operations of the Health Sciences academic division, including curriculum design, faculty management, accreditation processes, budget oversight, scheduling, and fostering community partnerships. Your strategic vision and operational acumen will ensure alignment with institutional goals and advancement of student success. Major responsibilities encompass:

• Providing visionary academic leadership
• Supervising department chairs and program coordinators
• Managing budgets effectively
• Acting as the primary liaison for community stakeholders
• Leading collaborative initiatives across the campus
• Supporting grant development efforts
• Building and maintaining partnerships with industry to meet workforce demands

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution, active licensure as a healthcare provider in a relevant field, and a minimum of 5 years of full-time academic experience, including a significant teaching background. At least 3 years of experience as a licensed healthcare provider is required. A terminal degree and previous administrative experience, particularly within community colleges, are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in academic leadership, adeptness in resource management, and a comprehensive understanding of higher education standards and accreditation requirements.
