Our organization is made up of two specialized teams: Strategic Customer Engagements, driving transformative deals with industry leaders, and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences, which optimize pricing solutions for our diverse customer base.

As a Deal Approvals Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting AWS's rapidly growing business. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing reliable, scalable, and innovative services that empower over a million businesses globally.

The GDSP team is essential in structuring and negotiating significant private deals, including strategic or highly competitive commercial agreements. As part of the Deals Approvals team, your responsibilities will include executing approvals and maintaining global policies, tools, and processes. You will focus primarily on supporting the Private Pricing program for AWS, preparing and managing approvals for public sector and worldwide commercial sales.

This role requires an individual who can work autonomously within established frameworks, manage multiple approval cycles, and operate with minimal guidance. You must possess high standards and a bias for action to achieve deal velocity while exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations. Your ability to lead the approval process and coordinate with various internal and external teams, including Legal, Operations, Finance, and Executive Approvers, will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct deal reviews with Sales teams, Finance, Operations, and Accounting to facilitate alignment and approvals. • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders regarding Amazon Approval policies. • Evaluate and streamline processes to enhance deal velocity through initiatives and projects. • Experience in engaging with C-level executives, Finance, Legal, and internal stakeholders to present sizeable commercial deals.

Basic Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements. • 5+ years of professional or military experience. • Bachelor's degree. • Proven track record of influencing leadership decisions at the organizational level. • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience interpreting data to make informed business recommendations. • Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and execute complex legal agreements.
